Terms and Conditions – Monaco Lux Yachts

Monaco Lux Yachts is the brand under which cookzeweb.com operates, serving clients from Monaco. Our portfolio lists 43 yachts across superyacht, yacht, day-boat, sport-yacht and catamaran categories, with day rates starting from €1,700. We are built for fast, highly tailored charters from Monaco, with a portfolio that favours performance yachts and elegant motor yachts suited to short Riviera hops and longer Mediterranean itineraries alike.

These terms apply to every charter booking made through cookzeweb.com or arranged directly with our team, for a single day on the water or a longer itinerary. By sending an enquiry or confirming a charter with us, you accept these terms in full. For any question about a booking, write to [email protected].

Charters are not paid for or booked automatically online. You reach us either through the enquiry form on cookzeweb.com, or directly by email, phone or WhatsApp.

The enquiry form asks for your name, email, phone number (optional), the yacht you are interested in (optional), your charter start and end dates, the number of guests, and a free-text message. We use this information only to understand your request and reply with a tailored proposal.

• We review your request and send you a written quote covering the yacht, dates, price and inclusions.
• Nothing is reserved on the strength of an enquiry alone; yachts and dates remain available to other clients until confirmed.
• Your booking becomes binding only once we confirm it in writing and your deposit has been received.

No contract exists between us until this written confirmation has taken place.

Day rates begin from €1,700 and vary according to the yacht, dates, duration and route. The only binding price for your charter is the one stated in your written quote.

Your written quote sets out exactly what is included in the charter fee, such as the crewed yacht for the agreed hours or days. Fuel, marina fees, APA (advance provisioning allowance) on larger yachts, catering and any other extras are charged separately, exactly as stated in that quote. We do not add any cost that was not quoted to you in writing.

A booking is confirmed once we have received a deposit equal to 40% of the charter fee. The remaining balance is due 10 days before the departure date.

Payment details and instructions are given in your written quote and booking confirmation. Until both the deposit and, later, the balance have been received, Monaco Lux Yachts is not obliged to hold the yacht or dates for you.

Any cancellation must be sent to us in writing by email to [email protected]. The date we receive your email is the date that counts for working out which cancellation tier applies, regardless of when the decision was made.

• Cancelling more than 21 days before departure: your deposit is refunded in full.
• Cancelling between 10 and 21 days before departure: your deposit is retained by Monaco Lux Yachts.
• Cancelling less than 10 days before departure: the full charter fee becomes due.

This is a contractual, voluntary cancellation policy offered by Monaco Lux Yachts under Monaco consumer law. Because a yacht charter is a service supplied for a specific date and crew, no statutory cooling-off or withdrawal period applies to this booking; the refund arrangements described above are the only ones available once a booking is confirmed.

Requests to change dates, guest numbers or the chosen yacht are handled case by case, depending on availability, and may be treated as a cancellation and new booking if the original dates cannot be accommodated.

Safety on the water comes before any schedule. If the captain or the relevant port authority considers conditions unsafe for departure or for the planned itinerary, you will be offered the choice between a new date at no extra cost or a full refund of amounts paid. The captain's decision on safety is final and is not open to negotiation on the day.

The same choice of a free new date or a full refund applies if a genuine technical issue affecting the yacht, or an event beyond our reasonable control, prevents the charter from taking place as booked. We will tell you as soon as we are aware of such a situation and work with you to find a solution that keeps your plans on track wherever possible.

The number of guests on board may never exceed the licensed capacity of the yacht, as stated in your written quote. This limit exists for the safety of everyone on board and cannot be increased on the day, even informally.

Our crew may refuse boarding to any person whose condition or behaviour would endanger the safety of the vessel, the crew or other guests. This applies throughout the charter, not only at departure.

The captain is in command of the yacht at all times and has final authority over all matters of safety, navigation and seamanship. Any itinerary discussed in advance, including routes toward anchors such as Cap d'Ail, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Beaulieu, Cannes or Saint-Tropez, is indicative and may be adjusted by the captain in response to weather, sea conditions, port authority instructions or the safety of those on board.

Guests are asked to follow the captain's and crew's instructions at all times, particularly during manoeuvres, mooring and any water activities.

We ask all guests to treat the yacht, crew and other guests with respect, and to follow crew instructions regarding safety equipment, swimming areas and on-board rules.

Clients are responsible for damage caused to the yacht, its equipment or its tender by themselves or their guests, beyond normal wear consistent with ordinary use, and such costs may be charged in addition to the charter fee.

Personal belongings brought on board remain the guest's own responsibility at all times. Monaco Lux Yachts does not accept liability for the loss, theft or damage of personal items left on board or ashore, and we recommend guests arrange their own travel insurance for this purpose.

A yacht charter takes place at sea and carries inherent risks connected to weather, navigation and water activities. Monaco Lux Yachts is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays and changes caused by weather, safety decisions, technical issues or events beyond our reasonable control, as described above. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount of the charter fee actually paid for the booking concerned.

If something goes wrong during your charter, please raise it with the captain or crew at the time so it can be addressed immediately, since many issues are best resolved on board. For anything unresolved, or for concerns you prefer to raise afterwards, write to [email protected] and we will look into it and respond.

The content on cookzeweb.com, including yacht descriptions, photographs and pricing indications, is provided for information purposes and may be updated at any time without notice. You agree to use the site and the enquiry form only to make genuine charter requests and not to misuse them in any way.

These terms and any booking made through cookzeweb.com are governed by the law of Monaco, including its rules on consumer contracts. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly with us falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Monaco.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or in the law. The version published on cookzeweb.com at the time you send your enquiry or confirm your booking is the one that applies to that booking.
